David Guetta

David Guetta

Last summer I had the pleasure of seeing David Guetta spin at the intimate venue Celebrities. Arguably the best show I saw last year. The French DJ knows how to set the mood and get the crowd dancin' and lovin' life. He had us dancing from the second he hit the decks until they kicked us out at closing time.

To celebrate the beginnings of the summer dancing season (which is sadly starting a little late for me this year) with 3 Guetta mixes I have been hoarding since I snatched them from BBC Radio 1 when he filled in for Pete Tong on the Essential Selection back in July 2007. Each is about 15 minutes of Guetta mastery. Enjoy!

David Guetta Mix 1 - Includes Steve Angello and Sebastion Ingrosso's 'Umbrella', Starrdust's 'The Music Sounds Better With You', and Joachim Garraud's 'Street Sounds'.

David Guetta Mix 2 - Includes The Street's 'Has it Come to This', House of Pain's 'Jump Around', a funky mix of Justice's D.A.N.C.E, and The Beastie Boys' 'Intergalatic' (My favorite of the 3 by far).

David Guetta Mix 3 - Includes a mix of Depeche Modes' 'Enjoy the Silence', and Snow Patrol's 'Open Your Eyes'

Tom Waits - Broadcast of Glitter & Doom Tour on the NPR

Glitter & Doom

12:05am Eastern time... my wait is over! The NPR just digitally released, as promised earlier today, promptly at 12am Eastern, a broadcast of Tom Waits' appearance in Atlanta, GA recorded at the Fox Theater on July 5th, 2008.

I'm listening to it right now, if you are too, let me know what you think! Of course, your comments are welcome very whenever you find time to listen to the show.

I'm loving it so far! The sax has already made one stunning appearance on "Down in the Hole"

Shall I dare use the term "live bloggin"?
